Can we rent the property out when we’re not using it?

Many co-owners choose to rent out their home when it's not in use to offset costs. Joynt supports this by integrating with rental platforms like Airbnb and VRBO, and allowing you to split rental income or apply it toward shared expenses.

Whether you rent or not is totally up to your group — co-owners will be asked to vote on this topic when setting up the house rules. And if you are still exploring co-ownership make sure to discuss this with your friends ahead of time to see if you are all on the same page.
